Environmental Policy Statement

QC Supplies recognise that our activities have an impact on the environment. This is due to the fact that we supply a range of IT Hardware and Office Consumables to both the private and public sectors. Many of these products are unrecyclable and can be hazardous to our environment.

QC Supplies environmental policy is to minimise any adverse affects its activities have on the environment, comply with, and preferably exceed, any relevant legislation and actively encourage the use of recycled or recyclable products.

We are committed to the continuous improvement of our environmental performance and the prevention of pollution throughout our supply chain. This is because we realise, as a company it is in our best interests to use energy, time and materials as efficiently as possible at all times in the future.

This will be achieved by:

• Reviewing annually our environmental performance, objectives and targets, with clear aims and objectives supported by an Action Plan.
• Reducing pollution and the risk of pollution from our sites and processes.
• Monitor all business activities and their resource usage to identify opportunities to minimize waste and maximise efficiency.
• Actively promoting environmentally friendly, recycled or recyclable items as regards the sale of products to QC Supplies customers and internal usage.
• Minimising packaging and wherever economically viable using recycled or recyclable materials and requiring packaging to be reused.

We will meet, and where possible, exceed the requirements of our environmental regulatory obligations. Not only because there is a legal requirement but there is also an additional benefit in that it encourages the company, at all levels, to work on providing a better working environment for all staff. It encourages the company to think of how to avoid its operations impacting on all aspects of the surrounding environment.

Our policy is implemented and periodically reviewed through our Environmental Management System. QC Supplies are constantly reviewing the company’s environmental issues and impacts and are dedicated to working together with suppliers and customers to create better understanding of how we can address environmental issues.

This policy is communicated to all employees and suppliers working on our behalf to ensure that they are aware of our environmental policy and to ensure its effective implementation. This policy is available to our customers, suppliers and to the general public via a variety of media including the intranet, our website and upon request.
